FROM MEETING POINT TO LAST PEDAL
The meeting point is at Campeche Beach, one of the island’s most charming spots, known for its crystal-clear waters and Campeche Island. From there, the ride begins, starting at 9 a.m. (for the morning route) or 2 p.m. (for the afternoon version). Lasting from 3 to 6 hours, depending on the chosen route, the adventure mixes asphalt, gentle trails, and seaside stretches, always with strategic stops for contemplation and photos.
On the South Island Light, it’s 20 km of stunning landscapes, passing through the beaches of Morro das Pedras and Armação, where the bucolic atmosphere and rocky cliffs impress. One of the most special stops is at the Municipal Park of Lagoa do Peri, the island’s largest freshwater reservoir, surrounded by Atlantic Forest. You can enjoy a refreshing swim before continuing.
On the South Island Extended, the route increases to 30 km, including visits to the rural communities of Costa de Cima and Costa de Dentro, where simple lifestyles and homemade cuisine charm visitors. You will also pass by the beaches of Pântano do Sul and Açores, two little-explored gems in the region. If you start the ride in the morning, lunch will be at the famous Bar do Arante with a delicious seafood buffet.
