Created in 1988, the Marine National Park protects more than 112 km² of coastal waters and 8 km² of land. This vast area shelters an impressive biodiversity, with over 230 cataloged species of fish, as well as five types of sharks, green sea turtles, dolphins, rays, corals of all shapes and colors, and even submerged caves with filtered lights that seem straight out of a sci-fi movie.
Diving conditions are ideal year-round, with visibility reaching up to 50 meters and pleasant water temperatures between 26°C and 28°C. With more than 20 different dive sites, the park is a true paradise for divers of all levels. RECREATIONAL DIVING
Everything begins at the Porto de Santo Antônio at 7:30 a.m., where the dive operator’s technical team gives a safety briefing and organizes the equipment. The newly risen sun begins to touch the sea with golden tones, and within minutes, everyone is aboard heading toward one of the archipelago’s most thrilling adventures.
The complete experience lasts approximately 5 hours, with two dives at different sites and a surface interval in between. The first dive is a grand awakening into a new world! As soon as you descend, reality changes. Sound dissolves into bubbles, light breaks into hypnotic reflections, and everything slows down.
At dive sites like Ilha do Meio (up to 16 meters) or Laje Dois Irmãos (up to 24 meters), marine life presents itself in an unscripted spectacle. Vibrant schools of fish dance around you in natural, hypnotic synchrony. Brightly colored corals form ethereal gardens on the ocean floor, while various fish species glide between rocks. With a bit of luck, you’ll catch sight of a turtle smoothly sailing through the water.
Back on the boat, under the comforting warmth of the sun, you’ll have time to breathe, chat, sip fresh juice, and enjoy a light snack. It’s the perfect moment to share stories of what was seen and imagine what still awaits.
The second dive takes place at Ponta da Sapata (up to 18 meters). The marine landscape is so vibrant and rich that it feels like being inside a live documentary—where you’re both the protagonist and the viewer. For more experienced divers, the Sapata Cave (up to 27 meters) offers a cinematic dive. Entering the cave reveals a dramatic interplay of light and shadow, with sunbeams piercing the water and sketching patterns on the rocks. It’s unmissable!
WHAT TO BRING AND HOW TO PREPARE
It’s essential to bring your diving certification, as this activity is exclusively for certified divers. Recommended items include a swimsuit, towel, biodegradable sunscreen, and, if possible, an underwater camera. The package includes all necessary technical equipment (BCD, regulator, tank, mask, fins), guidance from experienced instructors, snacks and beverages, and dive insurance to ensure a safe journey from start to finish.
